JULY 8, 2012.- MARÍA HAS EXPERIENCED PROGRESS IN RECENT HOURS. HER CONDITIONS HAVE IMPROVED GREATLY SINCE THE LAST OPERATION ON FRIDAY AND SHE HAS NOW LEFT THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT OF THE ADDENBROOKE’S HOSPITAL IN CAMBRIDGE TO START THE AWAKENING PHASE.
Still, the next few days will be crucial for her recovery and to determine the extent of the effects of the injuries sustained in the accident.
We, her family, feel very encouraged by the developments and remain at her side with renewed hope.
Once again, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to the medical team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital for their wonderful job, and to the many people around the world that have expressed their support in many ways. We also took great comfort from all of the messages and gestures shown by the F1 community gathered in Silverstone this weekend.
