Málaga 2nd July 2014. School holidays are already here and with them the hot weather and the eagerness to have fun out of home. The Automobile Museum of Málaga offers a programme of activities for this summer so that no “malagueño” or tourist can miss the chance to enjoy a unique museum in the world. A variety of cultural proposals perfect to fight the hot weather at this time of the year and to make the most of leisure time.
With family or with friends, this is the right moment to tour around history, design, innovation, contemporary art and haute couture.
Guided visit on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12:30h to discover the secrets best kept of the collection. If you want more and a simple visit is not enough, visitors can get to know better some of the most spectacular models for every Thursday during the tour the opening of the most remarkable bonnets will surprise visitors: : Packard v12 from 1939, Aston Martin 6cil. from 1959 o Cadillac Eldorado 8cil. from 1959 and many more. And, on Sundays at 12:30h a very original background music is played in the museum by the starting of engines. Every Sunday will be a surprise!
A perfect occasion to discover an unknown museum that not only houses almost 100 exclusive cars but also pieces of contemporary works of art and dresses of renowned designers. Also, the temporal exhibition “Trilogy” which joins in an unparalleled way the automobile with the designer and his or her dress can be visited.
The Automobile Museum of Málaga is located in the emblematic Building of La Tabacalera in Avenida Sor Teresa Prat, 15. There is private parking area and it opens from Tuesdays to Sundays from 10:00h to 19:00h. Bus lines 3, 15, 16 and 19 stop at the entrance of Tabacalera and proximities. Don’t think too much about it, the ticket also includes audio guide. Special prices for groups.
