- FIVE CLASSIC MODELS FROM THE COLLECTION HAVE BEEN EXPOSED THIS MORNING IN THE HISTORIC EPICENTER OF MÁLAGA
Malaga, May 18th, 2013. The locals and visitors were able to revel, from 9:30 am until 2 pm, with an exposure of five classic vehicles has given the Automobile Museum to celebrate International Museum Day in collaboration with “Entorno Thyssen”. In addition, at the facilities there were an “open house” in which visitors could watch, for free, the fashion exhibition Maga Sublime Collection, Permanent Collection consists of nearly 100 vehicles and successful Activity Turning on of Engines.
At the same time, in the center of the capital no one wanted to miss the five models were chosen time to coincide with the historical period in which Julio Romero de Torres lived, from 1874-1930. The French model De Dion-Bouton Toulouse Lautrec style of 1904 stood at Plaza San Juan, followed by a mythical Victorian Charron (France, 1908), located in the Plaza de los Mártires. Both can be found in the Belle Époque room of the museum dedicated to the automotive world and fashion. The “Constitution Square” hosted the Barcelona model Hispano Suiza Torpedo Tourer 1920, the car left its usual space, the room of the ’20´s’, to travel to the epicenter of Thyssen environment.
In “Calle Compañía”, near of Turismo Andaluz, was located the Unic from 1920 inspired by Sonia Delaunay, painter and designer of Cubism considered as the queen of art deco. To put the finishing touch, the Automobile Museum of Málaga spent its unique model of 1930 Studebaker right outside the Thyssen Museum, Plaza Carmen Thyssen.
Due to this initiative, Damián Caneda, city councillor of culture, Javier Ferrer, manager of the Carmen Thyssen Museum and Rocío López Pérez Lanzac, manager of the Automobile Museum of Málaga have met along with the shop-keepers of the area.
