- ULTIMATE LUXURY SEDAN FLYING SPUR MAKES SPAIN DEBUT AT BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW 2013
- CONTINENTAL GTC V8 AND GT W12 ALSO ON SHOW
(Crewe / Barcelona, 9 May 2013) Today at the Barcelona International Motor Show, Bentley presented the new Flying Spur for the first time in Spain, exhibiting it alongside the Continental GTC V8 and GT W12 at Montjuïc Venue.
With its unrivalled blend of effortless driveability, exquisite luxury and craftsmanship, sculpted design and state-of-the-art technology, the new Flying Spur takes the worldwide success of its iconic predecessor even further.
The Flying Spur is the fastest road-going luxury sedan in the world, powered by Bentley’s renowned 6.0-litre, twin turbo W12 engine. It develops 625 PS, sprinting from 0-100km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The athletic design of the new Flying Spur combines traditional Bentley styling cues with a dynamic stance and contemporary details.
A touch-screen infotainment system with mobile connectivity, including Wi-Fi, allows the driver and passengers alike to interface with the car and the outside world. A Rear Seat Entertainment suite and a new bespoke hand-held Touch Screen Remote give rear-cabin occupants control over an extensive range of features from the comfort of their seat.
Complementing the new Flying Spur on stand are the Continental GTC V8 and the Continental GT W12, widening the appeal of the latest generation of Continental GTC and GT, while retaining the power and performance one associates with the Bentley Continental.
The GTC V8, powered by a 4.0 litre, twin turbocharged, 507 PS V8 engine achieves exceptional standards for power-to-emissions in the high luxury sports car sector.
At the same time, the V8 Continental models achieve outstanding levels of fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions for the luxury performance sector and are capable of travelling over 800 kilometres on a single tank of fuel. The instantly recognisable growl of the new 4.0 litre V8 engine sets it apart from its Bentley siblings.
The W12 GT marked the birth of a new product range for Bentley in 2003 and is still going strong today. Bentley’s acclaimed 6-litre, 12-cylinder, twin-turbocharged powertrain now has a raised power output of 575 PS.
Albert Ribas, Dealer Principal, Bentley Barcelona, comments on Bentley’s motor show debut: “The motor show in Barcelona is an important regional show for Bentley and I am delighted to celebrate the introduction of the new Bentley Flying Spur to the Spanish market this year.”
The three Bentley models will be exhibited until 19 May in hall 8, Street A Stand 12.
