  • BENTLEY MOTORSPORT SIGNS WITH K-PAX RACING
  • MULTI-CHAMPIONSHIP-WINNING TEAM TO FIELD THREE CONTINENTAL GT3S IN THE PIRELLI WORLD CHALLENGE
  • DRIVERS AND LIVERY TO BE UNVEILED IN THE COMING WEEKS

11 January 2017, Crewe .– Bentley Motorsport announcied that multi-championship-winning team K-PAX Racing will contest the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge with three Bentley Continental GT3s.

Bentley’s Director of Motorsport Brian Gush comments:

“I’m delighted to welcome K-PAX Racing to the Bentley Motorsport family. They are a team with an impressive and proven track-record in the Pirelli World Challenge, and we’re looking forward to working with them. The Continental GT3 has had another successful season and we’re confident it will continue to challenge for national and international titles in 2018.”

The team, owned by Jim Haughey, has won the Pirelli World Challenge drivers title four times and the manufacturer title three times, so is no stranger to working with leading manufacturers and, after evaluating the market-place, program manager Darren Law chose to embark on a working partnership with British luxury car maker Bentley.

“Racing in the Pirelli World Challenge for the last few years has been a great experience and has produced tremendous results,” comments Law. “At the end of each season, we evaluate the performance of our team and our program as well as what the future looks like”.

“With the introduction of the new Bentley Continental GT3, we see a lot of potential. Currently, we are in the process of finalizing K-PAX’s 2018 driver line-up and will be making an announcement soon. We look forward to joining the Bentley Motorsport family and continuing our success beginning with next season.”

K-PAX Racing will run three current Continental GT3s in its first season with Bentley. The 4.0-litre turbo-charged V8-powered race car has just completed another successful season, securing both the British GT Championship and Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup Teams titles to add to the two GT Asia Series Teams and the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup Drivers trophies that already line the cabinets in Crewe.

In November, Bentley Motorsport announced plans for a second generation Continental GT3, which it will roll out to its global customer teams from mid- to late-2018 following an extensive testing programme.
