MARCIELLO HAS BEEN CHOSEN TO BE TEST AND RESERVE DRIVER NEXT SEASON BY THE SAUBER F1 TEAM

Maranello, 31 December. – 2015 looks like being a particularly busy year for Raffaele Marciello, the Ferrari Driver Academy driver. A student with the Maranello organization since the year of its inception, Marciello has been chosen to be test and reserve driver next season by the Sauber F1 Team. Apart from his Formula 1 responsibilities, the Italian youngster, born in 1994, will continue to race in the GP2 series.

“I am really pleased to become a member of the Sauber F1 Team, which has a long term tradition in building up excellent drivers” commented Marciello. “I really think that this is the best choice for the future of my career. I am also happy to compete one more season in the GP2 Series, that together with my new F1 role, will give me a very busy 2015 season. I want to thank the Ferrari Driver Academy for giving me this important opportunity, and now I really can’t wait to start delivering my best.”
