  • IT IS THE RENAULT AX FROM 1911, SAME MODEL THAT SANK WITH THE TITANIC AND WHICH WAS ALSO PROTAGONIST IN ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE SCENE FROM THE MOVIE
  • “GATTOPARDO” IS A TRIBUTE TO THE TRADITIONAL JAGUAR MASCOT

Malaga 26th December 2014.- The Automobile Museum of Malaga expands its collection with an automotive piece the Renault AX from the beginning of the 20th century and the structure “Gattopardo”.

Located at the Belle Epoque gallery and under the theme “Arriving to the theatre”, the Renault AX will take visitors to the heart of the capital of France. This “coupe de ville” meant the great and definitive impulse for the make. Its importance lies in being one of the models that embarked at the Titanic and that still lies in it. Also, it was part of the mythical movie by James Cameroon in which it starred a very envied romantic scene with the protagonists Rosa and Jack played by Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.

As a curious fact, the TV series “Downtown Abbey” has used one Renault as one of the vehicles to set society from the beginning of 20th century.

The other new piece of design “Gattopardo” is exhibited at the Dolce Vita gallery and due to its elegance and purity in lines is the honourable partner for the Jaguar Model MK V  from 1949 also known as “Black Cat”. As if it were its pilot, one adding value to the other, inseparable! The sculpture revisits the traditional Jaguar Mascot with a contemporary air.

Two pieces that increase the value of this unique collection in the world.
