- “THINKING IN GREEN” CAN BE FUNNY, SUMMER WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN AT THE AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM OF MÁLAGA
- ACTIVITIES WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 27 TH TO THE 30 TH OF AUGUST AND FROM 3RD TO 6 TH OF SEPTEMBER EARLY IN THE MORNING. CHILDREN WILL CREATE TOY CARS AND DESIGN THEIR OWN DRESSES AND ACCESSORIES WITH RECYCLED MATERIAL
- THEY ARE INTENDED FOR CHILDREN BETWEEN 6 AND 11 YEARS, WITH THE MAIN OBJECTIVE TO WORK CONCEPTS AND ATTITUDES OF ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS IN A FUN AND PRACTICAL WAY
Málaga, 22 of August 2013.- When the fair of Málaga ends for everybody ends the summer but not for the Automobile Museum of Malaga. Parents who wish to awake in its smallest curiosity, concentration and creativity can make a reservation now for our funny workshops that are going to be held from 27 th to 30 th August and from 3rd to 6 th of September.
From 10:30 to 13:30 they are going to learn to respect the environment through fun activities fully sustainable. Especially attractive is the journey to the future. They will know closer the vehicle Solar World and with the Milburn Electric of 1916 they will know what it feels like to drive a total silence car. Both vehicles belong to the collection of alternative energies.
The 27 th and 29 th of August and 3 th and 5 th of September will take place the workshop Recicars. During a guided tour, adapted for children, the most important milestones in the history of the automobile and the vast variety of brands such as the Fiat 500, one of the stars of the movie Cars2, will be reviewed.
Emphasis will be placed on alternative energy and afterwards children will create their own toy car with recycled materials. In this funny way they are putting into practice the three Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle. As final touch, they will plant seeds in their “Convertible Recicars”.
The 28th and 30th of August and 4th and 6th of September will take place the most Fashion workshop. With a fun guided tour through the Museum, children will find out the close relation between the automobile and fashion. Entertaining is guaranteed with all the colorful dresses and their strange shapes. Children won’t just observe they will also design their own dresses. The result? Dresses and accessories with recycled material in memory to the first sustainable fashion show “Eco Fashion Málaga” in 2011.

Jazz Night, 7th of September
Following the success of previous editions, the 7th of September the Automobile Museum of Malaga invites once again to a unique journey through time and the authentic glamour of the past. The sounds of jazz and blues, we will remind to the greatest Porter, Duke Ellington, Armstrong or Sinatra all in a Cotton Club in New York style.
National Classic Car Exhibition, 14th of September
Visitors from all over Spain, will visit the Automobile Museum of Malaga with a guided tour through their facilities. 20 classic cars will be parked at the gates of the museum and can be photographed by anyone who wants to. No doubt, a must for the most romantic car lovers.
The Automobile Museum of Malaga is located in the iconic building of La Tabacalera on Avenida Sor Teresa Prat 15. Private parking is free and we open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00 uninterrupted.
