MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS FROM SWABIA ARE IN DEMAND IN THE NORTH

21.08.2013, Stuttgart/Hamburg.- With its new branch in Hamburg in northern Germany, fast-growing international management consultancy firm Porsche Consulting GmbH (with headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen) is already well established just four months after its launch. At today’s official opening of the Hamburg branch, President and CEO Eberhard Weiblen made it clear that he is very pleased with the decision to invest in the new site: “Our 40 employees in Hamburg have been well utilized since they started work in April this year. The team in Hamburg is now able to offer local support to our clients in the north, particularly those in the aviation, aerospace, shipbuilding, automotive, mechanical engineering and logistics industries. Streamlined communication is the key to our work, and this is why we want to be as close as possible to our clients, both nationally and internationally.”

Matthias Müller, Chairman of the Executive Board at parent company Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, used the opening of the new office in Hamburg to highlight regular communication with the sportscar manufacturer as the feature that sets Porsche Consulting apart from other management consultancy firms: “The objective of the service offered by Porsche Consulting has always been very clear: to help businesses be the best in their segments through operational excellence. This objective is also what makes Porsche successful year after year when it comes to manufacturing sportscars.”

Focusing on “operational excellence”, the consultants essentially ensure that the requirements and interests of the client at each company remain the key consideration for every project. Weiblen went on to say: “All processes are consistently aligned with client requirements, and the ability to focus on these requirements is the criteria by which every department and every employee is assessed. After all, a service provider must fully understand what a client is prepared to pay for in order to ensure that the expected service is provided effectively.”

Oliver Kayser, a partner at Porsche Consulting, is heading up the Hamburg branch. Kayser relies on a team of highly experienced men and women: “The people we hire need to have already proven themselves in challenging roles in the past: Our consultants come to us with professional experience from a host of different industries. Thanks to this diverse range of skills, the team is able to apply the Porsche philosophy to very specific business fields and develop intelligent solutions with the help of the personnel employed by our clients.” Engineers, as well as consultants with an economic or humanities background, who have the necessary understanding of operational excellence are in real demand at Porsche Consulting.
