AT THE FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW
Frankfurt, 10/09/2013.– Yesterday, SEAT President Jürgen Stackmann presented the brand’s all new Leon ST at the Volkswagen Group media evening, a prelude to tomorrow’s opening of the Frankfurt Motorshow.
The SEAT Leon ST rounds off the line-up of the Spanish brand’s sporty compact model, with the new Leon now boasting a compelling, broad offer of a total of three body styles for the first time in its history – a five-door, the three-door SC and now the ST estate car version.
Speaking at the Volkswagen Group media evening, Jürgen Stackmann said: “With its sporty look, its surprisingly high utility and its state-of-the-art technology, the Leon ST defines a new standard in the compact estate car class – at a very competitive price. Like the already highly successful five-door Leon and three-door Leon SC, the new ST is the perfect representative of SEAT’s brand values”.
The third member of the Leon family combines the youthful, dynamic design and sporty characteristics of its siblings with exceptional everyday usability. At 4535 mm long, the Leon ST features a load capacity of 587 litres that extends to 1470 litres with the rear seat backrests folded. Furthermore, with the arrival of the ST, the Leon range has added brand new, high technology features such as ACC adaptive cruise control with proximity radar, DCC adaptive chassis control with variable damper adjustment and progressive steering, which enables a higher degree of control depending on driving speed.
The Leon ST is the latest arrival in SEAT’s ongoing product offensive alongside recent additions that include the updated Ibiza, the new Toledo, the five-door Leon, the three-door Leon SC and the Ibiza Cupra.
