  • “RELAX MUSEUM” IS A TEMPORARY EXHIBITION THAT CAPTURES THE ROMANCE BETWEEN ART, TOURISM AND LEISURE IN THE COSTA DEL SOL IN ITS GOLDEN AGE

December 12th, 2015.- The Automobile and Fashion Museum of Málaga participates to the exhibition “Relax Museum” organized by University of Málaga, the Department for Culture and Tourism School to mark the 20th Anniversary of the creation the Faculty in the exhibition rooms of the Rectory’s building from 15th December to 30th January. The presentation will be on the 15th at 20p.m.

Intense days traveling through furniture and elements of the latest fifties and earliest sixties. In that time the Costa del Sol experienced its highest immersion in Tourism according to design patterns closely linked to the International Architecture. This is about an exhibition as a way of understanding leisure between relaxation of the nap and debauchery of the nightlife.

In this exhibition, the Costa del Sol will be displayed as a meeting place for artists, politicians, writers and bullfighters and how the European artistic trends had their entrance in Spain.

The Automobile and Fashion Museum of Málaga will be present with one of its more emblematic models, the Fuldamobil (upper photograph, first car to the left) helping to create spaces of the Golden Age in the Costa del Sol. The exclusive Fuldamobile, manufactured in Germany, was created for the popular class. This automobile known as “The egg car” had many followers. It was manufactured in countries like Greece, Chile, India and England.
