- THE AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY WITH TWO ORIGINAL ACTIVITIES
- DURING THE MORNING IN COLLABORATION WITH ENTORNO THYSSEN WILL BE EXHIBITED CLASSIC FIVE MODELS FROM THE COLLECTION IN THE HISTORIC EPICENTER OF MÁLAGA
- WHILE ON ITS FACILITIES WILL TAKE OUT AN OPEN DAY
Malaga, May 16th, 2013. On Saturday May 18th locals and visitors can enjoy, from 9:30 am until 2 pm, with an exposure of five classic cars for the first time out of the Automobile Museum to celebrate the International Day of Museums in collaboration with Entorno Thyssen to show support to other museums in the capital.
These five vehicles selected match the historical period in which Julio Romero de Torres lived, from 1874-1930. The French model De Dion-Bouton Toulouse Lautrec style in 1904 placed in the Plaza San Juan, followed by a mythical Victorian Charron (France, 1908), located in the Plaza de los Mártires. Plaza de la Constitución will host the Barcelona model Hispano Suiza Torpedo Tourer 1920, coming out of his usual space, the room ’20´s ‘, to travel to the epicenter of Entorno Thyssen.
In company street, near Turismo Andaluz, a vehicle will be located 1920 Unic inspired by Sonia Delaunay, painter and designer of Cubism considered as the queen of art deco. To put the finishing touch, the Automobile Museum of Málaga allocate its unique model of 1930 Studebaker just in front of the Thyssen Museum in Plaza Carmen Thyssen.
And in its facilities the Automobile Museum, from 10h to 18h will be held a day of open doors. Visitors can enjoy for free, fashion exhibitions Maga Sublime Collection and “From Balenciaga to Schiaparelli” as well as the permanent collection consists of nearly 100 vehicles restored to the highest standard. In addition, 12.30h will be the activity “Startup Engines”. Aston Martin, Cadillac Pink, Porsche Speedster, Ferrari and Ford Silver Hand.
