Málaga, March 7th 2013. The Automobile Museum of Málaga extends its permanent collection of almost 100 vehicles and over 300 hats with valuable vintage fashion shows: Maga Sublime Collection. The Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre and the Director of the Automobile Museum, Joao Magalhaes, presented this new commitment to tourism and luxury fashion. Guests like business leaders not only of capital but also of Marbella and the Costa del Sol, like the popular chef Dani Garcia, people from the world of politics and personalities as Linda Echeverría and Princess Marie Louise of Prussia. During the event, the guest saw an original video inspired by Franck Sorbier that was projected on one of the dresses.

The new collection consists of one hundred exclusive dresses. About sixty of them will be permanently exhibited under the name “From Mariano Fortuny to John Galliano”. Never before exposed Models showing the evolution of fashion throughout the twentieth century and presented in five themes under an atmosphere of theater with couches, furniture, pictures and accessories.

From the splendor of the Belle Époque, with a magnificent and rare set of dresses including a Delphos model, considered the symbol of women’s liberation.

The timeless elegance of the post-war with models of Balenciaga, Dior, Chanel and Nina Ricci related with women that marked her time as Maria Callas and Jacqueline Kennedy.

The super chic. Models of Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Oleg Cassini and set in gold lame Dior silk among others. They all presented in an original staging, as a tribute to Rita Hayworth in her boudoir or her exotic wardrobe full of dresses like those used in “The Lady from Shanghai”.

Cocktail dresses, icon of the 50s and 60´s extravaganza. Magnificent ball gowns reminiscent of the festivities in the Venetian palaces that collapsed during months the couture houses.

Finally, the altar of high fashion that raises fashion to the category of artwork with Dalí shoe hat or bird of paradise immortal Elsa Schiaparelli.

The Automobile Museum is a journey through the twentieth century artistic evolution and what better fashion to accompany the time travel. With its luxury, adapted his style changes every time and always reinventing itself. Each collection seems better than the last.
