- AND IT WILL DO WITH ACTIVITIES SUCH AS A GUIDED TOUR IN SPANISH WHICH WILL RELATE SOME OF THE VEHICLES IN THE COLLECTION WITH THE FILM WORLD
- THESE WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY APRIL 20 AND SUNDAY 21 FOR THE USUAL PRICE OF ENTRY
Málaga, 19th April 2013. The Automobile Museum of Málaga prepares for this weekend a series of activities to show their support in every way to the cultural events taking place in the city, this time to the sixteenth edition of the Festival of Málaga. Spanish Cinema, which is positioned as one of the most important of our country and to be held from 20 to 27 April.
More than 30 models belonging to the Automobile Museum collection are closely related to the film world. From the great Packard of 1939 , which appears in the Oscar-winning 1974 film Chinatown, directed by Roman Polanski and starring Jack Nicholson, including the imposing Mercedes 540k 1937, a true symbol of power that we see in the movie “The Schindler’s List” in 1993 whose main role, Oskar Schindler, was played by actor Liam Neeson, until 1985 Excalibur, a limited edition that is only found in the Automobile Museum, because Schwarzenegger has one like this. All these and many more will be revealed during the Film Guided tour to take place on Saturday at 12.30 hours for the usual price of entry.
And the session continues on Sunday at 12.30 with “Moving Cars” and the ocassion to take a picture with one of the most special vehicles. A Porsche Speedster closely related to the greats of cinema. Actor James Dean participated in various competitions of cars with a model identical to this, but his adventures in the world of racing ended when, during the filming of Giant, the Warner Bros banned endanger his life with this type of activities. When he ended of filming Dean changed his Speedster for a more powerful and faster, the Porsche Spyder 550 with which days later had a fatal accident that ended his life.
