Maranello, 21st June 2022. – A comprehensive evolution of Ferrari’s industry-leading range of aftersales assistance, extended warranty and scheduled maintenance services has been introduced to further tailor specific services for each stage of each car’s life, from first delivery right up to the Ferrari Classiche Certificate of Authenticity for vehicles reaching 20 years of age.
Our standard-setting 7-year Genuine Maintenance programme, which offers scheduled maintenance for the first seven years after purchase of a new production car, will now be flanked by an option to extend the three-year* factory-backed, all-inclusive warranty up until year seven** for all new models from the 2015 488 GTB onwards. This means that Ferrari clients can enjoy complete peace of mind for a full seven years from the moment they take delivery of their new sports car.
The company also offers a separate, complimentary programme to the extended manufacturer’s warranty from year three to year 15 of ownership: called Power15, it covers engine, gearbox, transmission and all other major mechanical and electronic components. Power15 merges two previous programmes to provide an even greater level of cover for cars right up to year 15. The extension option can be purchased by the owner of the car at any time for both new and pre-owned Ferraris, and is also transferable to subsequent owners. This makes the Power15 extended warranty the most flexible and comprehensive package of its kind.
In addition, in a move that underlines Ferrari’s commitment to quality and client satisfaction, the company’s unique 7-year scheduled maintenance programme on all production cars can now be extended from year eight right up to year 15. Called Power15 & Maintenance it is combined with the Power15 warranty programme to provide complete care, ensuring that cars are serviced to the highest standards and protecting their functional integrity for the longest period of any car manufacturer. Both Power15 and Power15 & Maintenance can be renewed on an annual basis and offers servicing every 20,000 km or once a year, with no mileage limitations.
Ensuring that the company’s aftersales offer continues to be the benchmark in the automotive segment, Ferrari have introduced a further extension to cover cars over 10 years of age. The Ferrari Premium certification programme includes a package of scheduled replacements of those parts that are most subject to wear and tear with technologically-advanced alternatives, along with certification of the car’s condition. Ferrari Premium is thus designed to maintain the prestige and value of cars of this age as they move towards obtaining the well-known Certificate of Authenticity from year 20.
As well as significantly extending after-sales cover for all its series-production sports cars, Ferrari is also introducing an extended warranty on its limited-edition supercars, the 2013 LaFerrari and 2016 LaFerrari Aperta. LaFerrari Power provides an additional two-year cover that can be activated at any official Ferrari dealership and extends the car’s comprehensive factory warranty which covers, amongst other things, the HY-KERS hybrid system and high-voltage battery. It marks the first time that Maranello has offered clients an extended warranty of this kind for one of its limited-edition models, a testament to the quality and reliability of its cars. LaFerrari Power also includes annual scheduled maintenance during which the car will undergo in-depth inspection by Maranello-trained technicians to guarantee that it is in perfect working order.
This series of modifications to Ferrari’s aftersales programmes is flanked by two major innovations to Ferrari Approved, our certification programme for pre-owned Ferraris, which offers a comprehensive series of checks and controls to guarantee owners purchasing a car (registered up to 14 years ago) maximum security and peace of mind along with the Maranello stamp of approval. A complete redesign of our online platform not only means that owners can now search for the Ferrari of their dreams with a vast range of available cars to choose from, but also includes a detailed revision of the list of technical checks each car must undergo to achieve Approved certification.
The new checklist spans 201 rigorous controls carried out by specialist staff trained directly in Maranello, and includes checks specific to the latest models to be included in the programme. Each technical inspection includes testing of the functioning of the running gear and electrics, check of fluid levels, checks of the suspension, brakes, cooling system, steering, air conditioning, instrumentation and safety systems, lights, wheels and tyres. Every Ferrari Approved car purchased will also continue to enjoy an unlimited mileage*** warranty for 24 months in Europe and 12 in the rest of the world.
This redesigned offering means that owners of cars built in Maranello can enjoy absolute peace of mind and a range of superb services that cover the entire life span of these stunning vehicles, which, like their forebears, will stand the test of time and one day become classics in their own right.
* Four years in the UK.
** The extended warranty programme covers up until year 7 from first registration or a maximum of 120,000 km.
*** With the exception of components subject to ordinary maintenance, such as tyres, brake pads and discs, or replacement due to normal wear and tear.
