NEW PERSONNEL DIRECTOR IN BENTLEY
(Crewe, England. 6 June 2012). Bentley Motors today announces the appointment of Dr Ariane Reinhart (42) as its new Member of the Board for Personnel.  Dr Reinhart joins Bentley from Volkswagen AG where she currently holds the role of Head of Group Management Development Sales & Marketing. She will commence her position on October 1, 2012 and succeeds Christine Gaskell, MBE who retires after 17 years with the company.
Dr Reinhart, who holds a law degree from the University of Hamburg, has extensive international experience in Human Resources gained during a 13 year career with Volkswagen Group brands, consulting firms and labour organisations in different countries. In her most recent role since June 2008, she is responsible for the successful recruitment, succession planning and development of all senior management positions in Sales & Marketing throughout all Volkswagen brands worldwide. Dr Reinhart first joined Volkswagen in October 1999 and has since been responsible for a variety of change management projects in the Group.
Welcoming the announcement Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bentley’s CEO said:
“I am delighted to welcome Dr Reinhart to the Bentley team.  She brings a wealth of international experience in people development and change management processes to our company. I am confident she has the necessary knowledge and expertise to support the future growth strategy which will maintain the leading position Bentley holds in the luxury performance segment of the industry. I know that Dr Reinhart is looking forward to further enhancing the close and trustworthy relationship between the management and the workforce, as well as building on the strong ties the Company has established with the local community.
I would also like to thank Christine Gaskell for the significant contribution she has made at Bentley.
Christine has been a key player in the resurgence of Bentley since its acquisition by Volkswagen in 1998. During this time she has helped drive the transition of the Company into a modern automotive manufacturer with one of the most highly skilled workforces in the industry. Her commitment to apprenticeships and vocational training in general, saw her awarded an MBE in the 2012 New Year’s Honours as well as leaving Bentley a legacy of young talented individuals who will help ensure the Company continues to prosper.”
