Race 2 Press conference:

Giorgio Sernagiotto (1st): “It was a great race and one where I drove on the limit all the way through, especially early on when Dromedari did really well to keep up with me.

«The safety car coming on cancelled out any advantage I had built up and then it began raining and I wondered whether to come in for wet weather tyres. I looked up at the sky and track and realised that it was just a passing shower so I decided to carry on. I gave everything I had at the restart, built up a lead over the car behind me and then tried to see out the race. The car was perfect, both in terms of tyre wear and brake management. This was only the first step; we will see how things go over the coming races. As ever, I will continue to give 100%”.

Andrea Dromedari – Swiss Team (2nd ): “I would like to congratulate Giorgio Sernagiotto on such a splendid drive. In terms of my race, I had a problem at the restart when the safety car had gone off: the bonnet was slightly raised and I couldn’t see left handers too well. Still, it was just a small hiccup and didn’t affect my race too much. It didn’t condition the performance of the GranTurismo MC Trofeo either. The car was convincing and the Swiss Team mechanics played a key role”.

Youssaf El Marnissi: (3rd): “Considering it is my first time at Jarama and in a Maserati, I can’t not be satisfied. I was fifth at the start and finished in third after a tussle with some other drivers. It was really hard and I fought right to the very last bends”.
