- MCLAREN AUTOMOTIVE IS STRENGTHENING ITS COMMUNICATIONS TEAM WITH THE APPOINTMENT OF AMEL BOUBAAYA AS EUROPEAN PR MANAGER
- SHE REPLACES LENA SIEP WHO HAS BEEN PROMOTED TO GLOBAL PR MANAGER
Oct 22, 2012.- The moves follow the integration of the global PR and marketing functions of McLaren Automotive under Wayne Bruce who has been appointed of Head of Communications and Public Relations just as the company launches its second sports car, the 12C Spider, and prepares for the launch of its third, the P1, which recently stole the Paris Motor Show.
Amel joins McLaren Automotive after four years with Infiniti Europe where she was part of the team that launched the brand across the continent. Previous to Infiniti, she was with Renault Sport Technologies also in the Communications field so has experience of working in the world of motorsports, one that is deep in McLaren Automotive’s DNA.
Lena joined the marque nearly three years ago before the 12C was launched. Since then she has seen the brand expand to 22 markets globally of which 10 are in Europe. In her new role she will be responsible for coordination of public relations’ activities across the brand’s global regions and within the global PR team which includes Michele Shapiro for McLaren North America, Tom Pryor for McLaren Middle East and Africa, Maxi Polz for McLaren Asia and Masahiro Natori for McLaren Japan. She will be supported centrally by Product and Motorsports Press Officer, Dave Eden, and Press Assistant, Adam Gron. A lifestyle communications manager is currently being recruited.
The changes are effective immediately.
