VOLVO CAR GROUP REPORTS GLOBAL RETAIL SALES OF 34,843 CARS FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, REPRESENTING A 1.8 PER CENT DECREASE VERSUS THE SAME MONTH IN 2011. YEAR-TO-DATE, THE COMPANY HAS SOLD 347,532 CARS WORLDWIDE, DOWN 5.9 PER CENT VERSUS 2011

November 5, 2012.- Retail sales status (deliveries to end customers) for Volvo Car Group is as follows:

The all-new Volvo V40 has been well received in European markets and in October alone, 6,228 V40 cars were delivered to customers. Year-to-date, 12,097 V40 cars have been sold.

The Volvo XC60 is the best selling model so far this year with 86,551 cars (2011: 78,969), followed by the Volvo S60 which reached 53,565 cars (56,255) and the Volvo V60 where sales amounted to 42,884 cars (40,716).

*EU20 includes Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Belgium/Luxemburg, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic.
